Aloha!

I was born and raised in Hawai’i, but until recently have not really explored my own backyard so to speak. Tourists travel thousands of miles and spend thousands of dollars to do what is free for the asking and taking, well most of the times. After a couple talks with transplants and tourists talking about all these places they have seen, I figured I might be missing out on something. I guess you don’t sh*t in your own backyard and neither do you really dig around it. I decided to start hiking and exploring all these wonderful trails, ridges, and places. It sure beats jogging. Who wants to pound pavement and suck in car exhaust?

I try to get out at least once or twice a week to sample the fresh air and outdoors. However, my blog updates tends to lag considerably behind due to work and other distractions. Call it “Hawaiian time.”
